Working Together – The Most Effective Way to Minister –

Update from the President

Last week, September 15–20, Coming Together Ministries hosted Coming Together Live 6 (CTL 6) at the Hendersonville Church in North Carolina. It was a meaningful week focused on healing, identity, relationships, and the transforming power of the gospel.

Hartland College was grateful to be part of this special event. Our Advancement and Development Director, Ivonne Restrepo, was invited to serve as one of the speakers and presented four messages throughout the week.

She joined an outstanding group of speakers who shared their experience and passion in addressing some of the important challenges facing individuals, families, and churches today.

CTL 6 was a beautiful reminder that ministry is most effective when we work together. The needs of people are complex, and addressing them often requires spiritual, emotional, relational, and practical support. As we listened to testimonies, participated in conversations, and shared biblical principles, we were reminded that Christ is still in the business of restoring lives.

Different Callings but Common Goals

At Hartland, we are deeply grateful for our partnership with Coming Together Ministries (CTM). We believe God has brought our ministries together to complement one another and reach people with the message of Christ’s selfless love. While each organization has its own calling and areas of ministry, we share a common desire to strengthen families, equip leaders, and help individuals find healing and hope in Christ.

This partnership was also evident earlier this year through our collaboration with Universidad Peruana Unión (UPeU) and CTM. Both Ivonne and I had the privilege of serving as speakers at the UPeU event, ministering alongside CTM to faculty, administrators, and families. It was another meaningful opportunity to see how God can bring different institutions and ministries together around a shared mission.

These experiences remind us of a principle that is central to Hartland’s vision: the mission is greater than any one institution.

Hartland’s mission is to equip professional missionaries to transform the world through Christ’s selfless love. We cannot fulfill this calling alone. We need churches, universities, ministries, health professionals, educators, and individuals who are willing to share their gifts and work together.

The Blessings of Partnership

Partnership allows us to share resources, learn from one another, and extend our reach. More importantly, it demonstrates the spirit of unity that Christ desires for His people.

We are thankful for CTM, UPeU, and the many other partners God has placed alongside Hartland. We look forward with faith to the opportunities ahead and to seeing what God can accomplish when His people unite around His mission.

Thank you for standing with Hartland and supporting this work. Together, we can equip, encourage, and send people to serve—and together, we can reach more lives with the transforming love of Christ.

With gratitude,
