Health, Hope, and Faith in Botswana
Lebogang’s story reminds us that missionary training does not end at graduation—it continues wherever God opens a door.
After serving at Purelight Missions College in South Africa as the Health Science Ministry Department Chair, Lebogang Kevin Sebekedi faced an unexpected challenge. Due to an accidental one-day visa overstay, he was denied re-entry into South Africa and had to pause the on-site ministry work he loved.
What seemed like a closed door became a new mission field. By God’s providence, Lebogang was welcomed back to the Institute of Lifestyle Medicine in Botswana, where he now serves as Manager for the Lifestyle Center.
Through this faith-based, holistic health ministry, he has seen patients struggling with chronic conditions—including diabetes, hypertension, and lifestyle-related illnesses—find renewed hope through lifestyle change, natural remedies, and biblical health principles.
His mission is clear: to help the people of Botswana know that there is a place offering lasting hope—physically, mentally, and spiritually. God has also opened doors for wider outreach, including speaking opportunities and features in the national newspaper, allowing messages of prevention, healing, and faith to reach many more people.
Even amid financial challenges and personal sacrifice, Lebogang continues to press forward with hope, trusting God’s provision and serving others through health evangelism. His story reminds us that missionary training does not end at graduation. It continues wherever God opens a door.
